Scared of the Presence of God.
It’s difficult to imagine a Christian being scared of the Presence of God. Scared to the point of running out the building and shaking like they have seen, well, the devil himself.
During a recent Healing Event we had a visitor in a wheelchair. Unlike some Church models we do not consider people “targets” or “go hunting” for a sick person. We treat everyone with the dignity and honour they deserve. People are not their disease or injury, they are a Child of God.
Before the meeting had even started you could feel the power for miracles in the atmosphere. There was a gentleman in a wheelchair who had travelled hours to be there. Sadly, as the anointing increased he got scared. He had been bound in this chair his whole life and we were about to loose him. Fear got the better of him and he left before the meeting had started. Since God has not given us a spirit of fear, you can guess who was yelling in his ears to get outta there.
I’ve done meetings where entire rows run out at once. Within 20 seconds of the worship starting and me saying hello! “Thanks for coming”, I turn around to see rows running out. Was it something I said? I soon leant not to take it personally.
It used to worry me. I’m trying to heal people and rows are running out. In Hawaii 2/3 of the group ran out LOL. Although I was singing “All you need is LOVE”, that would do it.
The very atmosphere that can instantly change a life is sadly so foreign to many, many Christians. They tangible weight of His Glory is the most amazing “substance” ever, yet many choose to run from it? Christians are so used to not knowing His Presence that when God’s Glory rolls in, they think it’s the other team.
Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Ghost is a base setting for every meeting. Without those three, you got the wrong spirit running the place.
